I wrote these three pieces of advertising copy for my professional writing assignment at Bath Spa University. The copy wasn’t used professionally but instead showcases what I learnt in the course and through my own research.
Full of Grace Serum Bar
Oozing with delicate fruits of the forest floor, this deeply restorative serum bar glides softly onto your skin, melting into a nourishing balm. Rich with B, C and D vitamins, mature agaricus bisporus—the magnificent giant of the mushroom world—is rich in antioxidants that help keep your skin elastic and supple. Original: A deeply moisturising facial serum in solid form that glides on to leave skin feeling renewed without heaviness. We’ve created a skin-feeding blend of oils and mixed with Portobello mushrooms for their skin-protecting vitamins and minerals, whilst chamomile blue oil and calamine powder calm the skin – and the latter controls greasiness too. Warm on the fingertips or glide it across the skin like a massage bar, allowing the bar to melt and all the beautiful ingredients to soak in.
Rose Jam Bubbleroon
Wrap yourself all up in Springtime with the subtle sugar of Egyptian roses and geraniums. Bring the garden with you wherever you go with the help of rose oil. The big ol’ April sun is peeking out from behind the trees and warming the flowerbed outside your room. Through the open window, a beam of sunlight stirs the scent of Sicilian lemons, flowers and Springtime into a gooey, sweet country jam.
Original: Pep up your spirits in a bath filled with Rose Jam: lemon, rose and geranium oil will help perk you up, while Fair Trade cocoa and shea butter leave you feeling gorgeous. You’ll end up feeling as cheered as though you’d been given a bunch of flowers. Rose oil and rose absolute give a double dose of rosiness, helping to clear the mind and boost your mood.
Guardian of the Forest Bath Bomb
Sink into your very own mossy rock pool when you bathe in the revitalising properties of the woodland. Fresh cypress oil smells of morning walks in the forest. It works in conjunction with Oakmoss extract to refresh and protect tired, acne-prone skin by toning, and shrinking the pores, all the while deeply cleansing the skin and priming it to better absorb moisturiser. This bath bomb is like a basket of fresh leaves, pinecones and moss all pressed down into a soft and crumbly ball. So close your eyes and let the healing begin.
